Free networking walk through Ecclesall Woods that pairs exploring nature with sustainable business ideas, wellbeing and ethical practices.
Sustainability Netwalking is back in Ecclesall Woods on Wednesday 9 December, with the walk starting at 9:30am. It's a free networking morning that pairs a stroll through the woods with sustainable business ideas, wellbeing and ethical practices. The session opens with each participant introducing themselves in a single sentence, and from there the rest of the morning is left to walking, mixing and talking. If you're feeling it, there's the option to stay on afterwards for coffee and a deeper connection.
The route covers around three miles and takes roughly an hour and 45 minutes, so you'll get a fair bit of the woods in. It's run by the Sheffield Social Enterprise Network in partnership with the Sheffield Sustainability Network and Karen Perkins, a sustainable artist and life coach. The whole thing is about getting out of the office and into the fresh air to talk through the kind of things that usually get squeezed into a quick coffee break: sustainable ways of working, ethical business, and the wellbeing side of things that often gets overlooked when you're in the thick of it.
If you're new to the group, the one-sentence intro at the start keeps things simple and low-pressure, and the walking format means the conversation can flow naturally rather than feeling like a formal networking event. It's as much about the woods as it is about the business side of things, so come prepared for a proper morning out.
