Ice hockey match between the Sheffield Steelers and the Devils at Utilita Arena Sheffield.
Sheffield Steelers take on the Devils at Utilita Arena Sheffield on Sunday 22 November, a Sunday afternoon fixture that puts the city's home team back on the ice in the heart of the city. It's a classic ice hockey match-up, with the Steelers playing out from their home rink in Sheffield.
For those who aren't regular followers of the sport, it's a fast-paced game played on ice, with two teams competing to score goals. The Steelers are the local side here, and the Utilita Arena is their home ground, so the crowd usually leans their way. If you've never been to a game, it's a good one to start with — the atmosphere is built around the home team, and the action moves quickly across the rink.
It's a Sunday afternoon slot, which makes it a bit easier to fit in than a mid-week game. The puck drops at 16:00, so you're in and out well before the evening, and you'll still have the rest of your Sunday to recover. If you're bringing friends or family who haven't seen the Steelers play before, a Sunday afternoon is a decent time to get them along without it taking up the whole day.
