Festive gathering of up to 50 spaniels and spaniel crosses with off-lead play, toys, tunnels and a Christmas present for each dog.
The Spaniel Christmas Tour comes to The Head of Steam on Sunday 8 November, from 12:00pm to 1:30pm. It's a festive dog event run by Pup Up Cafe, who've been staging dog gatherings for almost eight years now. They're bringing their signature 'Pup Up Café' vibes to the room, decking the venue in Christmas style with props and photo ops, and welcoming up to 50 spaniels and spaniel crosses per session.
Inside, the dogs take the lead. They get off-lead play time with ball pits, toys and tunnels, and unlimited puppuccinos to keep them going. Every spaniel and spaniel cross who comes through the door leaves with a free Christmas present, and there's a chance to win Best Dressed prizes for those who turn up in something festive. While the dogs are busy, local doggy stalls line the room for you to browse.
It's a morning for the dogs, so the owners spend most of it watching from the sidelines. The whole thing runs for ninety minutes, and the spaniel-only rule keeps the crowd focused on one type of dog. If you've got a spaniel or a spaniel cross, it's a good chance to get them out and socialising with their own kind before the Christmas rush properly kicks in.
