Social bouldering session at The Climbing Works followed by a gathering at the Works Tap for artisan pizza and Thornbridge beers.
Slopers to Slices is a social bouldering night at The Climbing Works on Friday 13 November, hosted by Nigel L. and Matt T. of Sheffield Mountaineering. It's a straightforward evening that starts with bouldering and ends with pizza and beer.
The first half of the night is friendly, no-pressure bouldering at The Climbing Works, so you can climb at your own pace and hang out with other people. There's no competition or formal session here — just a few hours to get on the wall with a group. Around 8 or 9pm, the group moves across the car park to the Works Tap, where the night shifts from climbing to food and drinks.
The Works Tap serves local artisan pizza and Thornbridge beers brewed in Bakewell, so it's a short walk from the gym to a proper sit-down. If you're not into the climbing side of things, you can still join in for the second half.
