Award-winning viral improvised comedy show with chaotic games, epic scenes and fast-witted, unscripted performances.
Shoot From The Hip play the Oval Hall at Sheffield City Hall on Friday 7 May 2027, starting at 7:30 PM. It's an improvised comedy show, which means nothing is scripted and nothing is decided in advance. The whole thing is built on chaotic games, epic scenes and performances that they describe as ever-so-slightly unhinged. Because it's all made up on the spot, you're watching it happen in real time, and no two nights ever end up the same.
It's an award-winning show that's gone viral, and the press has been pretty generous with it. Metro, the Evening Standard and Time Out have all recommended it, with reviewers calling it 'pitched to perfection', 'jaw-achingly funny', 'quick-witted and fast on their feet' and 'side-splitting quick wit'. If you've never seen improvised comedy before, that's a fair place to start: it's less about a set list and more about the performers reacting to the room and to each other.

Live Nation is promoting the night, and there are a few practical bits to keep in mind before you book. The venue's age policy doesn't admit babies in arms (ages 0-2), and anyone aged 14 and under needs a valid ticket and to be accompanied by an adult over 18. If you're booking stalls, the seating isn't tiered, so you can stand if you prefer; standing isn't allowed in the Circle or Balcony, though. Wheelchair and accessible positions are available, so it's worth checking that if you need one. The show kicks off at 7:30 PM on Friday 7 May at the Oval Hall.
