B. Braun Sheffield Sharks v Caledonia Gladiators

B. Braun Sheffield Sharks take on Caledonia Gladiators at the Canon Medical Arena on Sunday 20 December, part of the 2026-27 Super League Basketball season. The Sharks are one of the most decorated franchises in British basketball history, with multiple league championships, play-off crowns, and national Cup and Trophy triumphs to their name. They're also well-rooted in Sheffield's sporting landscape through their community outreach programmes, so this is one of the city's long-standing sporting fixtures.

The 2026-27 season brings a few changes to the league. Super League Basketball has expanded to ten teams, with Liverpool Basketball joining for their inaugural campaign, playing at the M&S Bank Arena. The play-off format has shifted too: only the top six seeds progress, with the final still held at The O2 in London. All ten teams take part in the Super League Basketball Cup, and the Sharks earned a bye straight into the quarter-final after finishing in the top six in the 2025-26 season.

It's a Sunday afternoon game, so it works as a family outing. Tip-off is at 4pm, with doors opening at 3pm, and tickets start from £12.
