Shania Twain tribute show with a 6-piece live band and beginner line dancing lessons at Crookes Social Club.
Shania Live brings their Shania Twain tribute to Crookes Social Club on Sunday 15 November, and it's a double-bill that starts on the dancefloor. The afternoon is split into two halves: beginner line dancing from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, followed by the live show from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
Shania Live is billed as the UK's premier Shania Twain tribute, and they've got a six-piece live band behind them. The set is a run through her biggest hits — 'Man! I Feel Like a Woman!', 'That Don't Impress Me Much', 'You're Still the One' and 'From This Moment On' are all on the list. They lean into the theatre side of it, too, with dazzling lights, video, costumes, pink cowboy hats and glow sticks. It's a high-energy show, and the band doesn't stick entirely to Shania; they work in country favourites from artists like Dolly Parton and Ella Langley along the way.
The line dancing comes first, led by Paul Chapman. These are beginner-friendly group lessons, so you don't need to know a step before you turn up. The idea is to get everyone moving before the live band takes over for the second half of the afternoon. It's open to all ages, and there's free parking on site and a full licensed bar if you fancy a drink between the dancing and the show.
