Stand-up comedy performance by Scott Bennett at The Steamworks in Sheffield.
Scott Bennett is playing The Steamworks on Wednesday 21 October, with the show starting at 7:30pm. He's a Yorkshire-born comedian and award-winning product designer, and his stand-up is built on sharply written routines drawn from real-life experience.
If you've come across his work before, you'll know he's best known for telling the true story of his daughter's rare genetic condition, congenital hyperinsulinism. He also has a show called Stuff, which turns his own struggle to cleanse his life of possessions in the face of the environmental crisis into comedy. It's that mix of the personal and the observational that runs through his sets.
He's a regular on Live at the Apollo and has appeared on The News Quiz, The Now Show and The Ultimate Choice. In 2022 he was a Chortle Best Club Comedian nominee, and his other honours include English Comedian of the Year Runner Up, Comedy Cellar New Act of the Year and Old Speckled Hen Comedian of the Year. He's toured alongside Mickey Flanagan, Rob Brydon, Jason Manford and John Bishop, so he's well-used to the bigger stages.
