New Year's Eve party at The Viper Rooms with R&B, hip hop and afrobeats on the first floor, house on the second, a midnight countdown on a 22ft LED screen and confetti.
Ruffcut is taking over The Viper Rooms for New Year's Eve, on Thursday 31 December. It's a long one, running from the evening through to Friday 1 January, so you can stay well into the early hours without having to worry about a taxi home in the middle of the night.
The night is split across two floors, which is the main thing to keep in mind if you're deciding when to head in. The first floor is R&B, hip hop and afrobeats; the second is house. Having two distinct rooms means you can switch between them as the night goes on, rather than being stuck with one sound all evening. The party carries over into the early hours of 1 January, so it's a proper late one.
Right at the turn of the year, there's a midnight countdown projected onto a 22ft LED screen, followed by a confetti blower and pyros to mark the start of 2027. The Viper Rooms bills this as Sheffield's most iconic New Year's Eve celebration of the year, promising an all-out party room and the city's finest crowd. It's a big, loud way to bring in the new year, and since it's in the city centre, it's easy to get to.

Doors open at 20:00, though the party itself kicks off at 21:00, and last entry is 23:30, so if you're arriving late, you'll want to be through the door before then. Tickets start from £10, with the full range running from £10 to £17.50. The Viper Rooms is at 35 Carver St, Sheffield City Centre, S1 4FS.
