The BAFTA-nominated comedian brings her favourite songs and brand new standup to The Steamworks.
Rachel Parris brings her show The Rachel Parris Songbook to The Steamworks on Friday 5 March, with the night running from 18:30 to 22:00. It's a double bill of sorts: she'll be playing her favourite songs from the last fifteen years of her comedy career alongside brand new standup, and there's an a cappella section in the mix too.
If you're not familiar with her, Parris is a BAFTA-nominated comedian, musician, author and actor. She's best known for The Mash Report and is a regular on Have I Got News For You, Mock The Week, QI, Would I Lie To You and Live at The Apollo. On radio she's a fixture of BBC Radio 4's Just A Minute and I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue, and she's a cast member and founder of the award-winning improv show Austentatious. Critics have called her comedy 'classy, clever' and 'endearingly frank and funny'.

The show pulls together the musical side of her work and the standup, so you'll hear songs she's written over the course of fifteen years on stage, with new material running alongside them. The a cappella section is listed as a possibility, so it's not just the songs and the standup. The night is organised by The Leadmill, and it's restricted to over-14s. Tickets are £20.95, and the show runs from 18:30 to 22:00 at The Steamworks, 111 Randall Street, Sheffield, S2 4SJ.
