Christmas-themed off-lead session for small dogs and their owners, with decorations, treats, toys, a ball pit and best-dressed prizes.
Pint Sized Pooches is coming to The Head of Steam on Sunday 8 November, from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm. It's part of the Christmas Pup Up Café series from Pup Up Cafe, who've been running dog events for nearly eight years now, and this one is specifically for the smaller ones: small breeds and mixes weighing 12kg and under. Each session takes up to 50 dogs, and there's a staffed off-lead space, so they can run around without the usual lead-and-tug of a city walk.
The venue is decked out in Christmas style, with props and photo ops ready for when you want to get a decent shot of your dog in a festive setting. Every dog that walks through the door gets a free present, and there are unlimited puppuccinos and treats on hand, along with toys and ball pits to keep them occupied. There are also best-dressed prizes awarded in each session, so if you've got a little Christmas jumper or a fancy bow, this is the time to bring it out. Local dog businesses have space to browse too, so you can pick up a few things for them while they're busy with the ball pit.

Dogs go free with a paying owner, though they still need their own ticket to get in. If you're a dog lover without a dog of your own, you can book a guest ticket and just come along for the chaos. Tickets run from £4.95 to £14.95, and the whole thing runs from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm at The Head of Steam, 103-107 Norfolk St, Sheffield City Centre, S1 2JE.
