Relaxed monthly netwalking event by The Sheffield Walk Club where founders, freelancers and business owners meet while walking and chatting in Endcliffe Park.
Out of Office is back at Endcliffe Park on Thursday 29 October, from 9:30 to 11:30 in the morning. It's a netwalking event run by The Sheffield Walk Club, and this one is presented by Aidan Smeaton-Wellum. The whole thing is built as a deliberate alternative to the kind of networking most of us dread: there are no presentations, no forced introductions, and no expectation to turn up with a sales pitch. Instead, it's just a group walking and chatting to see who they get along with.
It's aimed at founders, freelancers, business owners, creatives and independents — basically anyone who wants to meet more people in and around Sheffield. The pace is conversational rather than competitive, so you don't need to be a serious walker to join in. The walk is volunteer-led, and participants take part at their own risk, with everyone buying their own refreshments when the group reaches the cafe.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Sheffield and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

If you're not sure about the logistics, the meeting point is the Endcliffe Park Cafe on Rustlings Road, Sheffield S11 7AB. Entry is free, and the walk runs on the last Thursday of every month, so if this one doesn't work for you, there's always the next one. It's a low-pressure way to get out of the office and meet people without the awkwardness of a room-based event.
