Weekly Friday and Saturday stand-up night with four comedians from the national circuit, curated by Toby Foster, at Sheffield City Hall.
Last Laugh Comedy Club is back at Sheffield City Hall on Thursday 3 December. It's one of the club's Friday and Saturday night slots, which run from Friday 23 October through to Thursday 31 December, so there are plenty of dates to choose from if that one doesn't fit your schedule.
The club bills itself as the oldest comedy club in the North of England and the longest-running in Yorkshire, and it's been playing at Sheffield City Hall for 20 years. The nights are curated by Toby Foster, who starred in Phoenix Nights, and each bill gathers four comedians handpicked from the national circuit. The line-ups are subject to change, so the names on the bill might shift between the time you book and the night itself.
One thing that sets it apart from a standard stand-up night is the setup. It's an all-in-one venue experience: you keep the same seat throughout the night and food and drinks are served to you, so you don't have to queue up at the bar or move around between acts. It makes for a more relaxed evening than your usual comedy club, where you're often shuffling between tables or standing in line for a drink.

Booking is by phone on 0114 4000 178, Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm. One practical detail to keep in mind: the venue doesn't allow bags larger than A3 size, so leave the big holdall at home.
