Structured slow-lane swimming session for confident swimmers, run by Everyone Active, at Thorncliffe Health & Leisure Centre.
Lane Swim Slow is a structured lane session run by Everyone Active at the Thorncliffe Health & Leisure Centre in High Green. It's held in the centre's Main Pool on Tuesday 27 October, from 20:30 to 21:30, and it's built for confident swimmers who can swim continuously in a lane.
The format is fin, snorkel and paddle friendly, so you can bring along the gear you usually use. The session is aimed at those who prefer a slower pace: a typical slow-lane swimmer will cover 25 metres in well over 45 seconds, rather than the under-30-second average of the pool's faster lanes. It's a dedicated space for swimming at your own speed without the pressure of faster laps coming up behind you.

If you're used to the faster lanes and just want a bit more room to move, or if you've been avoiding the pool because you're worried about getting in the way, this is the session for that. It's a structured hour in the Main Pool, so you'll have your own lane to work with rather than sharing a general swim area. The session runs from 20:30 to 21:30 on Tuesday 27 October, and tickets start from £4.75.
