Structured swimming session for confident swimmers who can swim continuously in a lane, run by Everyone Active.
Lane Swim Slow is back at Hillsborough Leisure Centre on Friday 30 October. It's a structured swimming session for confident swimmers who can swim continuously in a lane, and it's one of several that Everyone Active runs across Sheffield.
If you're wondering where you fit in, the 'Slow' part is the key. A typical swimmer in this session does most of their laps in breaststroke and takes more than 45 seconds to complete 25 metres. It's designed for those who can hold their own in a lane without needing to push a fast pace, so you can get your laps in without feeling like you're in the way of the faster lanes.
It's not just at Hillsborough, either. Everyone Active runs these sessions across a few different Sheffield venues, including Concord Sports Centre and Heeley Pool and Gym, so if one location doesn't suit your commute, there are others to choose from. This one is part of a regular programme, with sessions running throughout the autumn and winter.
