Kiell Smith-Bynoe brings his smash-hit improv comedy show to Sheffield City Hall, featuring a surprise celebrity guest and a cast of UK improvisers.
Kiell Smith-Bynoe brings his improv show Kool Story Bro to Sheffield City Hall on Wednesday 21 October. If you've come across him on screen, you'll recognise him from Ghosts, Taskmaster and Stath Lets Flats — he's a familiar face on the comedy circuit, and this is his live improv format.
The show is built around three things. First, there's a surprise celebrity guest each night, who joins him on stage. Second, he's backed by a cast of some of the UK's best improvisers. And third, the comedy itself comes from stories drawn from the audience, which drive the whole thing. It's improvised comedy, but as the title suggests, he bills it as 'Kool'.
Because it's improv, the night is different every time it goes out, and the guest changes from one show to the next, so you're seeing something that won't be repeated exactly the same way. The Sheffield date also falls within the city's Black History Month programme.
