Stand-up comedy gig with Josh Thomas, presenting his show Jiggle Jiggle, at The Steamworks.
Josh Thomas brings his new stand-up show, Jiggle Jiggle, to The Steamworks on Wednesday 11 November. It's a solo night, so he's the only name on the bill.
If you're not familiar with him, Thomas has been doing stand-up for twenty years. Along the way he's won prizes and lost many celebrity versions of reality TV shows, and his shows Please Like Me and Everything's Gonna Be Okay became international sensations. The Guardian called him 'disarmingly relatable', which sums up a good part of why his work lands.
There's a bit of a shift in tone with this one, though. He's noted that while his past work dealt with many important issues, this year he just wants to be silly. Jiggle Jiggle is the result of that—a show that leans into the lighter side of things rather than the heavy stuff he's known for.
