Hip Hop Lounge

Panke Social is hosting a Hip Hop Lounge night this Saturday 24 October, with Lady Paradox as the special guest. She's joined by Mama Rayray, Ron Superior and Shaun Anthony, and the whole thing is hosted by V3XATION and Epicentre. It's a full line-up for one night, so there's plenty to keep you going from start to finish.

If you haven't been, Panke Social is an independent 150-capacity music venue and event space in the city centre, on Exchange Street in the Castlegate area. It's one of the grassroots venues that sustain the neighbourhood's cultural life, and it's a member of the Sheffield Independent Venues Alliance. The room is described as dark, direct and independent, with a permanent Pioneer DJ booth and a Martin Audio sound system, plus a proper venue bar. Beyond club nights, it also hosts art exhibitions, installations, screenings and record launches.

That multi-genre programme runs across hip hop, bass, house, techno, live and electronica, and this night sits right in the hip hop end of that. With Lady Paradox as the special guest and three more names on the bill, it's a full run of DJs and MCs rather than just one act. V3XATION and Epicentre will be hosting throughout, keeping the night moving.

It runs from 8pm until midnight, so you've got four hours to work through the line-up. Entry is free, and the bar is open the whole time. Panke Social is at 16 Exchange Street, Sheffield S2 5TR.
