Live show by Sheffield indie rock band Crux, with support from Jonaaki, at Merchants House.
Crux play Merchants House on Friday 4 December, with support from Jonaaki. It's a Sheffield indie rock band that's come up fast: they formed in late 2025 and put out their debut single, St. Ives, in September 2026. Since then, they've spent the better part of the year playing sold-out shows and headlining venues across the city's student circuit, so this is one of the newer names on the local scene that's actually been working its way around the room.
If you've caught them at one of those student nights, this is a bit of a different setting. Merchants House is a proper venue, and with Jonaaki opening, it's a full night rather than just a slot. Crux are the main draw here, and they'll be playing their own material, including St. Ives — the single that got them moving in the first place.
The band's rise has been pretty concentrated in Sheffield, so if you've been hearing the name without having seen them live, this is a good place to start. They've built their following on the student circuit over the last year, and this is one of the dates that takes them out of that particular loop.
