Lecture by Thomas Mayer, presented by Alex Wright, on what happens after death and how to navigate the afterlife.
Thomas Mayer is coming to the Merlin Theatre on Thursday 22 April 2027 for a lecture titled Connecting with the Deceased, presented by Alex Wright. It's a talk that looks at life after death from a very specific angle: the practical side of what happens when we leave this world, and how we can navigate it without getting stuck.
Mayer has spent decades in conscious connection with people who have passed on, and he speaks from that experience rather than from a theoretical place. He frames death not as an end, but as a release from one world and a progressive entry into others, and he argues that we keep our consciousness of those still alive as we move through. The core of his talk is that there are specific stages to the afterlife journey, and that contemporary life can make it easy for people to get stuck along the way. If that happens, he says, we can return to incarnation less purified and strengthened than we might have been, which can sometimes cause problems for the living.
That's where the practical part comes in. He talks about how to avoid those problems for yourself when your time comes, and how to help those close to you who might be struggling on the other side. It's a lecture that treats the afterlife as something you can actually prepare for, and something you can help others with, rather than just a mystery to be left alone.
