Live show by Coldplace, a tribute act recreating Coldplay's songs, at Electric Studios in Sheffield.
Coldplace are playing Electric Studios on Friday 30 October, a night dedicated to the songs of Coldplay. They bill themselves as the world's leading tribute to the band, and the set is built around recreating the feeling of Coldplay's own live shows rather than just running through the hits. It's a full-band tribute, so you'll get the songs played out in a live setting rather than a DJ set or a stripped-back version.
Fronting the act is singer Shane Croft, who takes on the vocals and leads the band through the set. The group has been around since 2004, so they've been at this for over two decades, and they've played gigs across Britain and beyond in that time. That long run means they've worked their way through a good chunk of the Coldplay catalogue, from the early records to the more recent stuff.

Electric Studios is the venue's new name for what was formerly the Leadmill, and it's tucked into the Sheffield Students Union on Brook Street, S10 2TG. The show starts at 19:30, so if you're coming from across the city, you've got plenty of time to get sorted before the first song. It's a Friday night, and the venue is right in the heart of the student area, so there's plenty around for a drink before or after.
