Christmas stand-up show by The Last Laugh Comedy Club, with compere Barry Dodds and comedians Dawn Bailey and Pete Otway, over 18s only.
The Last Laugh Comedy Club brings its Christmas show to Sheffield City Hall's Memorial Hall on Friday 18 December. It's a long-running fixture for the club, built around a compere and three comedians across more than two hours of live stand-up.
Barry Dodds takes the compere role, and he's one of the names the club leans on for these nights. He's regarded as one of the UK's finest in that particular job, and the evening is held up by his quick wit and the crowd work that makes each show different from the last. Joining him on the bill are Jonny Awsum, Dawn Bailey and Pete Otway, so it's four acts in total over the course of the night.
For a bit of context, The Last Laugh has been running for over 16 years and is billed as Yorkshire's best comedy club, described as one of the most respected and important clubs in the country. This Christmas show has become a regular at the Memorial Hall, and the format — a compere and three comedians — is what they've stuck with. The room is strictly over-18s, there's a full bar, and the club describes it as some of the best live comedy in the country.
