A candlelit tribute concert to Coldplay performed by the string quartet Bloomsbury Music at Sheffield Cathedral.
Bloomsbury Music are playing a Coldplay tribute at Sheffield Cathedral on Friday 23 October, part of the 'Candlelight in Sheffield' series. It's a string quartet taking on the band's songs, and the whole thing is played by candlelight, with thousands of candles lighting up the cathedral. The setting is as much a part of the night as the music itself.
The setlist pulls from across Coldplay's career. You'll hear early tracks like Shiver and Trouble alongside the big ones that most people know: Clocks, Speed of Sound, Fix You, Paradise, Yellow, and The Scientist. They've also got Something Just Like This, Feels like I'm falling in love, and A Sky Full of Stars in the mix. It's a tribute concert, so it's not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the band, their estate, or their official representatives.
