Blondie tribute Blondish on their Parallel Lines Tour, plus Orion Stars, at The Arundel Emporium.
Blondish are at The Arundel Emporium on Friday 16 October, bringing their Parallel Lines tour to Sheffield. They're a five-piece Blondie tribute fronted by Celine as Debbie Harry, who takes on the vocals, the swagger and the punky charisma. The night is split into two halves: the first plays Blondie's 1978 album Parallel Lines in full and in its original running order, and the second moves into a set of hits and cult favourites.
Parallel Lines has sold over 22 million copies worldwide and spent more than 100 weeks in the charts. The first half will run through classics like 'Hanging on the Telephone', 'Picture This', 'Sunday Girl' and 'One Way or Another'. The second half reaches further into the catalogue, with later hits like 'Atomic', 'Maria', 'Denis' and 'The Tide Is High'. Between the two, you get the album as it was first released and a broader look at the band's career.
Opening the night are Orion Stars, a five-piece female-fronted originals rock band from the Chesterfield and Sheffield area. They're playing their own material, so the evening starts with something local before Blondish take over. The whole thing is presented by Red Pen Promotions.
