A baby-friendly Santa experience with songs, sensory play and photo opportunities for babies under 18 months at Weston Park Museum.
Weston Park Museum is running a Baby Friendly Santa Experience on Tuesday 15 December, a session built specifically for babies under 18 months. It's a short, self-contained one: songs and sensory play with things to squeeze, shake and explore, while Santa and his elves sing and dance along to their favourite tunes and families take photos of Father Christmas. Each session runs for 25 minutes, so it's over before the little ones lose interest.
If you've got older children, they're directed to a separate Santa's Workshop session, so this one stays focused on the under-18-month crowd. Everyone attending needs a ticket, and there's a limit of two adult spaces per baby ticket. Prams and pushchairs are left downstairs, so you'll be heading up without them.
The museum itself is on Western Bank, opened in 1875 and drawing visitors for nearly 150 years. It's home to a few of the city's favourites, like Spike the Woolly Rhino and Snowy the Polar Bear, and the Ambulo café. There are galleries to wander through too, including Picturing Sheffield, Ancient Egypt, Beneath Your Feet and What On Earth, so if you've got time before or after, you can make a proper day of it.

Tickets are £6.00 per baby under 18 months, £12.50 per child, and £2.50 per adult. The session starts at 10:30 on Tuesday 15 December.
