Stand-up show by former Formula 1 driver Nigel Mansell, billed as 'The Ultimate evening Nigel Mansell LIVE', combining entertainment with his racing career.
Nigel Mansell is coming to Sheffield City Hall Oval Hall on Wednesday 23 June 2027, for a night billed as The Ultimate evening Nigel Mansell LIVE. It's not a race, obviously, but it's built around his time behind the wheel, pairing entertainment with a full look back at his career.
If you've only ever known him as a name from the headlines, the scale of what he did is worth spelling out. He started in British Formula Ford at 15 and worked his way up to Formula 3, where he caught the eye of Lotus boss Colin Chapman. Chapman brought him on as a test driver before he made the team's main Formula 1 line-up in 1980. From there, his F1 career ran for 15 seasons between 1980 and 1995, with Lotus, Williams, Ferrari and McLaren all taking turns in the garage. The peak came in 1992, when he took the World Championship title with Williams.
He spent two years at Ferrari, and he holds a particular claim to fame there: he's the last driver to be personally selected by Enzo Ferrari himself. On the track, he earned the nickname Il Leone — The Lion — for a brave and determined racing style that didn't back down. That's the career he'll be talking through on the night.
