A honky-tonk country dance night featuring line dancing, two-step and swing to classic and modern country hits, presented by Hoot&Holler and Dance Rangers.
Western Wednesdays returns to Hidden Hall on Wednesday, October 7, with Dance Rangers leading the night. It's a honky-tonk country dance night that puts line dancing, two-step, and swing together against a mix of classic and modern country hits. The whole thing is presented by Hoot&Holler and Dance Rangers, and it's built around the idea that you don't need to know your way around a dance floor to get involved.
The night starts with two beginner lessons: a partner-pattern class and a line dance class. If you've never tried either, that's where you'll pick up the basics. Once those are out of the way, it's open dancing for the rest of the night, so you can take what you just learned and put it to use. The music runs through the classics and the newer country hits, and the dance floor stays open long after the lessons wrap up.
This isn't a one-off, either. Western Wednesdays is a series, and this October 7 date is just one of several. The night continues with more country dance nights on Wednesday, November 4, December 2, and December 16, all starting at 7 PM at Hidden Hall. If you're just starting out, that gives you a few more chances to come back and keep working on your steps.
