Concert by the Seattle funk and soul group True Loves at the Nectar Lounge.
True Loves play the Nectar Lounge on Saturday, December 26, 2026. It's a Seattle funk and soul group, and this date is part of their 2026-2027 tour, which runs from October 9, 2026, through February 4, 2027.
The band started in 2014 as a jam session between drummer David McGraw, bassist Bryant Moore, and guitarist Jimmy James. From there it grew to include percussionist Iván Galvez, trombonist Greg Kramer, and saxophonists Gordon Brown and Skerik. With a full horn section and percussion on top of the rhythm section, they've got enough on stage to pull from both the funk and soul sides of the house.
They've put out two records so far. Their debut, Famous Last Words, came out in 2017 as an instrumental LP. In 2021 they signed to Color Red Music and released their sophomore album, Sunday Afternoon. Between the two, there's enough material to build a full set, and since they're a local group, this is one of the few times you'll catch them playing in their own city during a tour that takes them well into early next year.
