Electronic music performance by The Polish Ambassador with supporting acts Cheeks and Willdabeast at Nectar Lounge.
The Polish Ambassador plays Nectar Lounge on Saturday, November 14, with Cheeks and Willdabeast on the bill. It's a full night of electronic music, and the headliner is a name that might be familiar even if you've never seen him play.
The Polish Ambassador is the stage name of David Sugalski, a San Francisco electronic musician and DJ. He's also the figurehead of TPA, an off-grid community homestead run on solar power, and the driving force behind the Permaculture Action Movement, which channels festival-goer energy into community action. Over the last decade, his sound has spanned a wide range of styles: warm analogue dreamwave and glitch, world-infused groove, bass-fueled breaks, down-tempo, and psy-fi funk. He's put out 17 albums and countless remixes, and he famously offers his music for free or 'Name Your Price.'
He's not alone for this one. Cheeks and Willdabeast are both on the lineup, so the night will be a run of three acts rather than a single set. If you're not already familiar with the Polish Ambassador, his catalog is a good place to start—those 17 albums cover a lot of ground, from the slower, atmospheric side of things to the heavier, bass-driven stuff. Between the three of them, there's plenty of room for different moods across the evening.
