Seventh edition of the Seattle hip hop film festival, with short films and music videos celebrating hip hop culture, all ages.
The Seattle Hip Hop Film Festival returns to Washington Hall on Saturday, November 7, for its seventh year. It's presented by 206 Zulu and Propadata Films, and the program brings together short films and music videos that look at hip hop in its many forms, with work from filmmakers across the Northwest and beyond.
This year's lineup features four titles. Attention is a Drug is directed by Sean Kantrowitz; NASA Case is directed by Killah Priest; Rush'N'Attack comes from William Lemke; and Floating is directed by The Wall Seattle. The festival also continues its open call for submissions, looking for shorts 15 minutes and under that focus on hip hop culture.
Behind the festival is 206 Zulu, a non-profit dedicated to providing accessible spaces while serving communities through the upliftment, preservation, and celebration of hip hop culture. That mission carries over into the programming, which gathers a range of short films and music videos from around the region and further afield.
