Saturday program for families at the Seattle Art Museum.
Saturdays at SAM is back at the Seattle Art Museum on Saturday, November 7, as part of the museum's ongoing program for families. It's a midday thing, running from 12 PM to 3 PM, so it fits into a Saturday morning without taking over the whole day. If you're looking for something to do with kids that gets them into a museum, this is exactly that.
It's not a one-off, either. The program continues with another session on Saturday, December 5, from 12 PM to 3 PM, and then picks back up on the other side of the New Year on Saturday, January 2, 2027, also from 12 PM to 3 PM. Having three dates spread across the turn of the year means you can drop in when it works for your schedule rather than trying to squeeze it all into one weekend.
Since it's a family-focused program, the whole thing is built around bringing kids into the museum and giving them something to do while they're there. It's a good way to introduce them to the galleries without the pressure of a formal tour, and it's designed for families to experience the art together. The three-hour window gives you plenty of time to settle in, explore, and still be home by mid-afternoon.
