An improvised puppet show for grownups, an improvised fever dream with googly eyes and lots of laughter, with mature content and language.
No Strings Attached is back at Unexpected Productions' Market Theater on Saturday, October 10, for an improvised puppet show for grownups. It runs from 6 PM to 7 PM, and tickets are $14.
If you've never seen it, the whole thing is built on a specific, slightly wicked premise: these puppets spend their days entertaining children, but once the kids are gone, they let their hair down—or their strings loose—and lean into the outrageous. That's where the show picks up. It's an improvised fever dream of googly-eyed puppets, unfiltered jokes, bawdy songs, and audience suggestions, with the crowd calling the shots. Since it's all made up on the fly, no two shows ever run the same way.
It's staged at the Market Theater, Unexpected Productions' space at 1428 Post Alley in Pike Place Market. The company frames the show within its 43 years of improvising in Seattle, and the format draws on Theatresports, a trademark of Keith Johnstone exclusively licensed by the International Theatresports Institute.

One thing to keep in mind before you go: this is for adults only. It's full of mature content, language, and situations, so it's not the kind of puppet show you'd bring the kids to. Free or reduced-cost access is supported by 4Culture. The show runs from 6 PM to 7 PM on Saturday, October 10, at the Market Theater in Pike Place Market, and tickets are $14.
