Shakespeare's witty comedy as Beatrice and Benedick clash in insults while friends scheme to force them together, presented with live music and immersive staging.
Much Ado About Nothing runs at The Allen Theatre from March 20 to April 11, 2027. It's Shakespeare's wittiest comedy, and it centers on Beatrice and Benedick, two of the sharpest tongues in the theater, who spend most of the play trading insults while their friends scheme and meddle to push them together. The insults eventually soften, the glances last longer, and pride becomes the only thing standing in the way. It's a story about two people who'd rather fight than admit they're falling for each other, and the people around them who can't stand to see it go on.
This isn't a traditional sit-back-and-watch production. It's presented as a live stage experience that brings together performance, music, and visual elements. There's live percussion throughout, visual storytelling, and immersive staging, and because it's a touring show, each stop adapts to its venue while keeping the same signature style. It's suitable for audiences of all ages, so it works as a date night or something to bring the kids to.
