Moral Law, xfortunex, impertinence + more

Moral Law headline a four-band bill at The Black Lodge on Monday, October 12, with xfortunex, Cherub Chains and Thermal Vision filling out the rest of the night. The whole thing is presented by The Vera Project, which is an all-ages, volunteer-run music and arts venue here in Seattle. They work with people at every level of music production and community organizing to foster a participatory creative culture through concerts, arts programs, experiential learning and volunteer opportunities for all ages, with a particular focus on young people between 14 and 24.

Because it's a Vera Project show, the night is open to all ages, so you don't have to worry about an over-21 door. That's one of the things that sets their bookings apart from a lot of the other club dates in the city—it's a show you can bring younger friends or siblings to without a second thought. The lineup brings together four different acts in one evening, with Moral Law taking the top spot.

The music runs from 7 PM to 11 PM, so it's a full night of sets rather than a quick in-and-out. Tickets are $15. The Black Lodge is at 429 Eastlake Avenue East, in the 98109 zip code, so you'll find it over on the Eastlake side of town.
