Blues crooner Liam St. John performs live at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle, accompanied by Cameron Whitcomb.
Liam St. John plays the Paramount Theatre on Wednesday, October 14, with Cameron Whitcomb joining him on the bill. St. John is a blues crooner from Spokane, Washington, who goes by the name 'Man of the North.'
He first made a name for himself with his debut full-length, stripped back, released in June 2022. It hit number one on Apple Music's Top Blues Albums chart globally and led to a nationwide tour that wrapped up with a sold-out show in Music City. By the end of 2022, he'd signed his first publishing deal with King Pen Music via Warner Chappell, and he's managed by Aidan Crowley of Legacy Content.
St. John credits his singing to the legends he grew up listening to, and that list tells you exactly where he's coming from: Ray Charles, Etta James, Sam Cooke, Louis Armstrong, and Tracy Chapman. The raw, gritty, blues-infused soul of those voices is what surfaces in his own songs and performances. If you're familiar with any of those names, you've got a good sense of the territory he's working in.
