Genre-defying 11-piece collective recreating classic Chicago songs and 1970s rock, pop, and jazz-fusion hits.
Leonid & Friends bring their 2026 tour to The 5th Avenue Theatre on Saturday, October 31, with the show starting at 7:30 PM. It's an eleven-piece collective, which is a fair bit of stage to fill, and they're coming to Seattle as part of a wider run of dates this year.
The set is built around two things. First, they recreate classic Chicago songs, the kind of brass-heavy, tight arrangements the band is known for. Second, they pull from 1970s rock, pop, and jazz-fusion hits, so the night moves between those Chicago staples and the broader sounds of that decade. With eleven people on stage, they've got the numbers to handle the horn sections and the full band sound those songs were written for.
They describe themselves as a genre-defying collective, and that fits what they do: they aren't sticking to one style, but instead working across rock, pop, and jazz-fusion. The Chicago songs are the core, and the 1970s hits fill out the rest of the program. It's a big ensemble, and the set is built for a full band to play through.
