An unscripted improv comedy show where performers create movie mashups and literary spoofs from audience suggestions in a family-friendly setting.
Improv Happy Hour is back at Unexpected Productions on Friday, October 9, from 6 PM to 7 PM. It's a short, one-hour set, and if you can't make this one, there are more dates running through Saturday, October 31.
If you've never seen it, the whole thing is unscripted. The performers take suggestions from the audience and build scenes on the spot—movie mashups, literary spoofs, and bold, experimental comedy that changes every night. Because nothing is written down, no two shows are the same. It's the kind of thing where you get to see the performers thinking on their feet in real time.
The venue is the Market Theater at 1428 Post Alley, right at the Gum Wall in Pike Place Market. It's a family-friendly show, so it works whether you're bringing friends or a younger crowd. The timing—6 PM to 7 PM—makes it an easy early-evening thing to drop into before the rest of your night gets going.
