Screening of the documentary 'Gone Guys' followed by a panel discussion and audience conversation on the well-being of boys and young men.
Kerry Hall is hosting a screening of Gone Guys on Wednesday, November 4, followed by a panel discussion and a conversation with the audience. The film is a 45-minute documentary that looks at the challenges facing boys and young men today, and the rest of the night is built around that. The panel and the conversation focus on improving well-being, opportunity, and outcomes for boys and young men across Washington State, so the screening is really the starting point for a wider discussion.
It's a collaborative effort. Seattle Theatre Group is presenting the evening in partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound and the Washington Initiative for Boys and Men. The Washington State Building & Construction Trades Council sponsored the license to show the film, and the organizers are inviting educators, parents, mentors, and youth advocates to join in. If you work with young people or just care about the subject, that's the crowd they're looking for.
