A wearable art show and artisan marketplace featuring handmade jewelry, clothing, hats and leather goods from Pacific Northwest artists, with juried exhibitors and cash prizes.
Fiber + Flair is coming to the National Nordic Museum in Ballard on Saturday, February 6, and Sunday, February 7. It's a wearable art show and artisan marketplace put on by the Northwest Art Alliance, the same people behind the Best of the Northwest art and fine craft shows. The whole thing is built around handmade wearable art across a few different mediums — jewelry, clothing, hats, and leather goods — all from artists across the Pacific Northwest. It's a juried selection of around 40 exhibitors, and there are cash prizes for the artists on the line.
It's timed for the weekend before Valentine's Day, which makes it a pretty convenient spot if you're looking for something a bit more unique than a store-bought gift. Beyond the booths, there's a wine garden hosted by Martedi Winery of Woodinville, special exhibits, giveaways, and prize drawings. If you're in the mood to keep exploring after the show, attendees get a half-off museum admission coupon for the Nordic Museum itself. The Seattle chapter of Dress for Success is an event partner, so there's also a place to donate gently used clothing while you're there.

One thing to keep in mind: it's service animals only, no dogs. The show runs over two days, from 10 AM Saturday through 4 PM Sunday, at the museum's Great Osberg Hall, 2655 Northwest Market Street in Ballard. Admission is free to the public.
