Fifth edition of Seattle's biggest Dia de Muertos dance celebration, featuring cumbia music, DJ sets, dance lessons and costumes across four Ballard venues.
Cumbia De Muertos returns to Ballard on Friday, October 30, for its fifth edition. It's a Día de Muertos celebration that takes over a stretch of Ballard Avenue, spreading across four neighborhood venues: Tractor Tavern, Conor Byrne Pub, Cloudburst Brewing, and Percy's. A single wristband gets you into all of them, so you can drift between the rooms throughout the night. The box office and wristband pickup are both at the Tractor Tavern.
The lineup this year is a long one: Cumbia de Muertos, Tropa Magica, Los Faraones del Norte USA, Terror/Cactus, Lobo Lara, Qiensave, and Rizoma. The music runs from traditional cumbia to psychedelic, electronic, and experimental takes on the genre, with DJ sets and dance lessons running alongside costumes and surprises. It's billed as Seattle's biggest Día de Muertos dance celebration, and with the party split across four spots, it's more of a night of moving between stages than a single show. The whole thing is strictly 21+.

Tickets are $39.50, and the night kicks off at 7 PM. Since the wristband covers all four venues, you'll want to start at the Tractor Tavern to get yours before heading out to the others.
