A candlelit tribute concert bringing the music of Djo to the historic Seattle Central Library, performed by the Range Ensemble.
Candlelight: Tribute to Djo comes to the Seattle Public Library - Central Library on Saturday, January 16, 2027. It's a candlelit tribute concert bringing the music of Djo to the library, with the songs performed under the glow of candlelight. The performance is handled by the Range Ensemble (SEA), a string quartet that'll be taking on the material.
The program is tentative, but it covers a wide stretch of Djo's catalog. You'll hear Runner, Uglyfisherman, Gap Tooth Smile, Charlie's Garden, Half Life, Purgatory, Silverstar, Roddy, Change, Gloom, Delete Ya, Figure You Out, Tentpole, Shangrila, Lonesome is a State of Mind, Chateau, and End of Beginning. That's seventeen songs in a single hour, so the quartet will be moving through them pretty quickly.
The venue is the Central Library at 1000 4th Avenue, an 11-story glass-and-steel building that opened in 2004 and was designed by Rem Koolhaas and LMN Architects. It's home to the Books Spiral, a vibrant Red Room, and a 275-seat auditorium. The show is billed as a tribute experience and isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the artist, their estate, or official representatives.
