Live show by Big Star Quintet at The Neptune Theatre in Seattle.
Big Star Quintet play the Neptune Theatre on Wednesday, November 4, their only Seattle date of the fall. It's a general admission show, and all ages are welcome, so you can bring whoever you want. The Neptune is over in University District, at 1303 Northeast 45th Street.
As the name suggests, the Big Star Quintet is a five-piece ensemble, and the set is built around that particular lineup. They're the sole act on the bill, so the whole night belongs to them. If you've seen them before, you know the format: five musicians on stage, no opening act to warm up the room, and the focus stays on the music they're playing together.

It's a mid-week show, which is something to keep in mind if you're planning your night. Doors open at 7 PM, and the show starts at 8 PM, so you've got plenty of time to get settled before they take the stage. Since it's general admission, there are no assigned seats—you'll find your own spot on the floor. All ages are welcome, which means it's an easy one to bring along younger friends or family if that's your speed. If you're coming from across the city, the Neptune is right in the heart of U District, so there are plenty of spots nearby to grab a drink or a bite before the doors open.
