Yappy Hours Return to Margaritaville

Yappy Hours are back at the Margaritaville Hotel San Diego on Thursday, October 22, as part of a monthly rooftop series that runs every last Thursday of the month from June 25 to October 29, 2026. The whole thing takes place at the 5 o'Clock Somewhere Rooftop, which the hotel bills as downtown's pup-friendly oasis—a spot where dogs are the main attraction rather than just tolerated, and owners can soak up the sun alongside them.

Each pup goes home with a summer-themed bandana and a Margaritaville tennis ball. The bar also runs a dedicated doggy menu: Pupa Coladas are a blend of coconut purée and ice, and Bark Burgers are made from a grilled beef patty. Every month brings a new theme, like 'Paws & Relax' in June, so the vibe shifts a bit each time.

The rooftop is at the Margaritaville Hotel San Diego, 435 Sixth Avenue in the Gaslamp Quarter. The hours are 4 to 6 PM, and since it's the last Thursday of the month, you can bring your dog and hang out on a rooftop in the middle of downtown.
