Timmy Trumpet

Timmy Trumpet is playing Nova SD in the Gaslamp Quarter on Thursday, December 31, 2026. It's a New Year's Eve slot, so the timing is pretty straightforward: he's the main feature of the night, and the set kicks off at 9 PM.

If you're not already familiar with how he works, Timmy Trumpet is a hardstyle DJ whose sets are built around cover versions of pop and rock songs reworked into a hardstyle style. It's a specific way of doing things—taking a track you already know and turning it into something with that hardstyle drive. His repertoire has included 'Party Till We Die', 'Freakshow' (a Lockdown cover), 'Thunderstruck' (an AC/DC cover), 'Sweet Disposition' (an Axwell cover), and 'Hiding' (a Dual Damage cover). That mix of pop, rock, and dance covers is what defines his sound, and it's what you'll be hearing throughout the night.

On the billing, he's listed as a big-room and Melbourne-bounce DJ, and that's the energy he brings to the stage. The hardstyle side of things is where the covers come in, and the big-room and Melbourne-bounce elements are the sounds he's known for. Between the two, you get a set that leans heavily on high-energy, dance-floor-focused tracks.

Since it's New Year's Eve, the timing is the main thing to keep in mind. The show starts at 9 PM at Nova SD, which puts it right in the Gaslamp Quarter, so you're in the heart of downtown San Diego for the night. If you're planning to be out for the countdown, this is one way to spend the lead-up to midnight.
