Concert by American rapper Schoolboy Q at SOMA San Diego, general admission standing room only.
Schoolboy Q plays SOMA San Diego on Thursday, October 8, 2026. He's coming in from Los Angeles, and the show is on the Mainstage.
If you're not familiar with the name, Q is one of the most promising foot soldiers in Kendrick Lamar's Black Hippy crew—a circle of talented rappers who've been reinventing West Coast hip-hop from the inside. He's a Los Angeles native, so this is a short trip south for him. His second LP, Habits & Contradictions, scored an 8.4, and that's a good place to start if you're catching up before the show.

It's a general admission, standing room only night, and it's open to all ages, so you can bring whoever you want. Just keep the bag policy in mind: clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags up to 12"x6"x12" are fine, and small clutch bags around the size of a hand—no larger than 4.5"x6.5"—work too. If you're bringing a bag, make sure it fits those dimensions or you'll be sorting it out at the door. Doors open at 7 PM.
