Thai American cultural summit with food, music, massage, Muay Thai, art, and expert panels.
Samakkee Summit 2026 - Thai To The World comes to the Liberty Station Conference Center on Sunday, October 11. It's a Thai American cultural summit that brings together food, music, massage, Muay Thai, and art, with expert panels running alongside the demonstrations. If you've spent any time around San Diego's Thai community, you know the food and the arts are just the start of it; the summit pulls those threads into one day.
The day is hosted by the Thai American Chamber of Commerce, Thai American Samakkee, and the local Thai Association, with input from the Royal Thai Embassy and the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Los Angeles. It's not just a local gathering, eitherβthe organizers have brought in volunteer outreach from across the country and included virtual discussions to keep the conversation open to people who can't make it to Liberty Station in person.
Behind the event is Samakkee, a national not-for-profit that works to unite Thai and Thai American organizations across the United States. They describe their mission as providing a platform to discuss issues and share solutions, and celebrating community development among Thais and Thai Americans. Their goals are to facilitate communication, networking, and the sharing of resources among members; to serve as a voice and an inspiration for the Thai and Thai American community in the U.S.; and to foster community service, civic engagement, leadership, and advocacy within that community.
