Musical stand-up comedy show hosted by comedian and ex-opera singer Margaret Star, featuring comedic timers and lyrical rhymers.
Margaret Star hosts Pitch Please: A Musical Stand Up Comedy Show at Mic Drop Comedy on Sunday, October 11, 2026. It's a musical stand-up night, which puts it in a different category than your usual comedy club set—the songs are the point here, not just a break between the jokes.
Star is a comedian and former opera singer who's built her following across Southern California on a specific contrast: classy high notes paired with risqué humor. That's the core of the night, and she's not doing it alone. She's joined by a rotating cast of friends billed as some of the best comedic timers and lyrical rhymers in the region, turning the whole thing into a musical stand-up show built around musical parody. If you're into comedy that actually sings, this is exactly that.
