Tribute band No Duh performs No Doubt and Gwen Stefani hits at the OB Oktoberfest festival in Ocean Beach.
No Duh play OB Oktoberfest in Ocean Beach this Saturday, October 10, from 1:00 PM to 2:15 PM. They're a tribute to No Doubt and Gwen Stefani, and they'll be performing on the Jägermeister Main Stage.
The band describes itself as a "living, breathing time machine" that takes you back to the 90s ska-punk explosion, covering everything from the sound of Tragic Kingdom to Gwen Stefani's solo music. If you grew up on that era, you know exactly where that puts them: the upbeat, horn-driven ska-punk of No Doubt's early years and the pop-leaning solo work that followed. It's a broad stretch of material, and they're pulling from both ends of the catalog.
They're part of OB Oktoberfest, which has grown over more than 20 years into the city's biggest and boldest Ocean Beach Oktoberfest. This year's festival is built around a nostalgic throwback to the Y2K era and beachfront energy, so a 90s ska-punk tribute fits right in. Beyond the beer, the festival gives back: thanks to attendee support, it's donated more than $850,000 to local organizations. The 21+ weekend also features a Stein Holding, a Pretzel Toss, and a Brat Eating Contest, plus a Y2K After Dark Neon Party on the Electronica Stage with throwback beats and glowing vibes.
