Concert by the jam band moe. at the Belly Up venue in Solana Beach, near San Diego.
moe. are playing Belly Up in Solana Beach on Sunday, October 18, as part of their "An Evening with" series. The band formed more than thirty-five years ago at the University at Buffalo, where a group of musician friends grew into a six-piece that would be billed as jam band pioneers alongside Blues Traveler, Spin Doctors, Widespread Panic and Phish. They've kept that same lineup for years: Rob Derhak, Al Schnier, Chuck Garvey, Vinnie Amico, Jim Loughlin and Nate Wilson.
Since their 1992 album Fatboy, they've put out a string of records, including Tin Cans & Car Tires (1998), Wormwood (2004), The Conch (2007) and What Happened To The La La's (2012). Their latest is Circle of Giants (ATO), their 13th release, which the band calls their 10th collection. They average around 100 shows a year and call their fanbase "The Famoe.ly."
