Military appreciation weekend with postcard writing for service members, booths from veteran support organizations and Orca Encounter presentations at SeaWorld San Diego.
SeaWorld San Diego is hosting Military Appreciation Weekend on Saturday, November 7 and Sunday, November 8, 2026. It's part of the park's Waves of Honor military salute program, which gives free admission to SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, and Sesame Place to members of the U.S. armed forces.
Throughout the weekend, you can write postcards to active-duty service members at a designated mailbox, a partnership with the Warrior Foundation. Orca Encounter presentations run both days, and there's face painting for kids over at Wild Arctic. A good number of local organizations that support service members and veterans will be there too, with booths set up for you to stop by and chat. Among them are Warrior Foundation Freedom Station, Blue Star Families, Adjoin, Wounded Warrior Project, and Freedom Dogs.
